Finally, retros your team actually wants to do.

Sticky notes, votes, timer, action plan: your retrospective happens live, on everyone’s screen. Someone facilitates, and the session ends on time.

Your vote tokens:Drag a card with your finger

Nobody wonders where you’re at.

Five phases, in order. The facilitator moves them forward; the whole team’s screen follows at the same moment.

Facilitating a retrospective, step by step

  1. Brainstorm

Everyone writes their cards on their own. They stay hidden until the end of the phase.

  2. Grouping

The facilitator brings together the cards that talk about the same thing.

  3. Vote

Everyone places their tokens. The topics that matter rise to the top on their own.

  4. Discussion

Cards come up in vote order, the most backed first. The facilitator presents them one by one: everyone looks at the same thing.

  5. Done

Action items are written down with an owner and a due date. They stay available afterwards, at any time.

Pick a format, and the session starts.

Six formats. Columns, colors and icons already set up. Nothing to prepare the day before — you pick the format when you create the retro.

  • The simple format that works

    • Went well
    • To improve
    • Ideas
  • Focused on changing habits

    • Start
    • Stop
    • Continue
  • Centered on how the team feels

    • Mad
    • Sad
    • Glad
  • What the sprint taught and lacked

    • Liked
    • Learned
    • Lacked
    • Longed for
  • The boat metaphor: what drives us, what holds us back

    • Wind
    • Anchors
    • Rocks
    • Island
  • Celebrate, then improve

    • Kudos
    • Kaizen

And if none fits your team, a facilitator can build their squad’s own format — columns, colors, icons — from the Pro plan.

Which retrospective format for which situation

Action items no longer end up buried in a doc.

Every action item leaves the session with an owner and a due date — and stays in front of the team, not at the bottom of meeting notes nobody opens again.

Owner and due date
An action item without a name or a date isn’t an action item. Both are set during the session, not after.
Open at any point in the session
Action items and decisions can be checked and ticked off without leaving the retro, at any phase — not just at the end.
Gathered on the squad’s page
Between two retros, all of the squad’s action items and decisions live in one place, session after session.

Why retro action items never get done

Squad action items

Sprint 41 retro · 2 open action items

  • Block two meeting-free half-days
    Marco · Dec 12
  • Scope specs a week before the sprint
    Anaïs · Dec 19
  • Invite support to the next demo
    Léa · Dec 22

Try it: tick one off. In the app, the whole squad sees it.

It’s the details that make a good session.

Each one exists for the same reason: so everyone speaks up, and a retro stays a team moment rather than one more meeting. These ones are live — go ahead.

People say what they really think when nobody signs.

The facilitator switches the session to anonymous, and no card is signed anymore.

Anonymous notes

We sign off on specs nobody has read.

Anonymous

We promise dates we know we can’t meet.

Anonymous

Nobody copies their neighbor.

While the phase lasts, everyone only sees their own cards.

We finally hit the deadline

You

You can take turns facilitating.

Another facilitator takes over the running session, without starting it over.

React without interrupting.

An emoji, a comment under the card: everything stays attached to the card it’s about.

A fixed demo slot on Thursdays

  • Anaïs — Do we keep it after the holidays?

No more waiting for latecomers in silence.

The waiting room keeps the team busy instead of keeping it waiting.

Léa, Marco and Anaïs are already here

The retro starts when the facilitator says so.

Your next retro can start right now.
