Terms of use
Last updated: August 20, 2026
1. Purpose
SquadRetro is an application that lets teams run retrospectives in real time: sticky notes, votes, grouping of ideas, timer, action plan and decision tracking. These terms of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the service by its users. Creating an account constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
SquadRetro is published by an individual, as a personal project (see the legal notice).
2. Status of the service
The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuous availability, unlimited data retention or absence of bugs.
Creating an account is free of charge. The service relies on plans that define the applicable usage limits: a free plan is currently the only one offered. Other, paid plans may be offered later; their prices and terms will then be made known to you before any subscription, and no payment can be charged to you without your prior consent.
Access may be open or restricted depending on the period: sign-ups may be closed, in which case access is by invitation or through a waiting list. The publisher may change these access conditions at any time.
3. Creating an account
Access to the service requires an account (email and password). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from your account. An account belongs to a single organization at a time.
The service is intended for work teams and is not intended for minors under 15. By creating an account, you declare that you are at least 15 years old.
4. User content
The sticky notes, votes, comments, action items and decisions you create remain your property. By posting them on the service, you authorize SquadRetro to host, display and transmit them in real time to the members of the squad concerned, only to the extent necessary for the tool to work.
You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of third parties.
Data about other people. Inviting a colleague, creating a squad or assigning an owner to an action item means entering data about someone else. You agree to do so only within the professional context that justifies it, to inform the people concerned, and to have the right to share this data. It is up to you to withdraw an invitation or remove a member when this is no longer the case.
5. Availability and changes
The service may evolve, and features may be added, changed or removed. It may also be temporarily interrupted, in particular for maintenance. The publisher uses reasonable means to limit these interruptions and to give notice of them when possible; its liability in this respect is governed by article 8.
6. Suspension and termination
By you. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page of the application. This permanently deletes your profile, your credentials and your memberships, and removes your name from the content you created; the content itself remains in the retrospectives concerned, anonymously, under the conditions described in the privacy policy.
By the publisher. In the event of a breach of these Terms — in particular posting unlawful content or use that harms the service or its users — the publisher may suspend or delete the account concerned. Except in an emergency or where required by law, this measure is preceded by a warning by email giving a reasonable period to remedy the situation.
7. End of the service
SquadRetro is a personal project: its publisher may decide to stop operating it. In that case, users with an account are informed by email before the service closes. No compensation is due for this discontinuation, as the service is provided free of charge.
8. Limitation of liability
The publisher commits to reasonable means to ensure the availability and integrity of the service and data, without any obligation of result. It cannot be held liable for loss or unavailability of data resulting from:
- a failure, interruption or incident at a third-party host (Vercel, Supabase);
- a case of force majeure;
- negligence by the user (compromised credentials, mishandling, deliberate deletion of content or of an account).
This limitation does not affect the publisher's obligations as data controller for personal data, described in the privacy policy, nor its liability in the event of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Changes to the Terms
These Terms may be changed, in particular to keep up with changes in the service or in regulations. The version in force is the one published on this page, whose last update date appears at the top; it is up to you to consult it. Continuing to use the service after a new version is published constitutes acceptance of it; if it does not suit you, you can delete your account. The publisher may, without being obliged to, notify the most significant changes by email.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls within the jurisdiction of the French courts.
